ECG and Dive Feature Note
Garmin states that ECG and Dive features are disabled on Fenix 8 series beta software during this part of the Public Beta cycle. If you need those features active, Garmin recommends staying on current live software instead of participating in the beta program.
If you install beta software and later need ECG or Dive again, Garmin says you can backdate to currently live software. ECG must be set up again after backdating.
Why This Update Matters
Stronger Golf Support
Approach CT1 tag compatibility and the Golf Performance Glance bring more golf-tracking value to the Fenix 8 family. This is especially relevant for users who want one premium outdoor watch for both training and golf.
Better Daily Smartwatch Behavior
Messenger read and delivered status, silent mode access, keyboard layout access, and incoming-call fixes improve everyday smartwatch use beyond workouts.
Broad Reliability Improvements
The reset, upload, battery drain, LiveTrack, map, navigation, Garmin Coach, and activity-file fixes target high-impact reliability problems. For beta testers, 22.35 is a more substantial update than the smaller 22.34 follow-up.

Important Notes

- Rollout: Garmin lists this update as OTA at 100%.
- Feature Limitation: ECG and Dive features remain disabled in this beta period.
- Backdating: If you backdate, your watch will not be able to download the same beta update again until Garmin publishes a newer beta.
Conclusion
Garmin Fenix 8/Quatix 8/Enduro 3 Beta 22.35 is a large Public Beta release. It adds Approach CT1 support, Golf Performance Glance, silent mode, LTE activity power-mode options, Messenger status improvements, and a long list of training, navigation, sync, and stability fixes. Beta users who do not need ECG or Dive during this cycle should consider installing it.
